The Grand List of Overused Science Fiction Cliches - a few years ago I took part in a convention workshop which aimed to construct a storyline comprised entirely of cliches like these. Having seen this list I now realise that hour-long session was way too short and that we were wasting our time - this list has been there, done that, got the t-shirt, kicked some butt and is taking down names.
