Mostly the latter.

Email attachments: Find the man's head! - I found it in under 3 seconds. Apparently that means I'm a genius (or that I happened to be looking at the right spot when the picture loaded).

At the time of writing David Blaine is still in his box down by Tower Bridge. Yesterday, to my deep personal joy, someone on the radio finally slipped up and referred to "David Blaine's Box".

A rather unexpected side-effect to this rather tasteless stunt (there are millions of people out there who are starving for real), is the rather inventive way Londonders have set about torturing this rather tiresome little man. Routinely someone walks past every day asking "Is he dead yet?". So far several people have wafted the smell of food at him (while eating it rather ostentatiously), he has been flashed at, mooned at, and had a guy do his own street magic beneath him. I thought the most inventive attack was a group of golfers who tee'd off at the box from the safety of Tower Bridge (which offered a quick getaway route) but then came this planned fusion of zeitgeists - Flash Mobbing David Blaine OUTintheUK Press Release

[Since writing, one group has hovered a radio-controlled model helicopter right next to the box - dangling a hamburger on a wire - and the local council has come up with the ultimate indignity - they're billing him for the cost of police cover for the entire 44 days]

My friend Dupa recently noticed this:

"The Italian battery company, Powergen Italia, may be reconsidering their domain name.

See URL http://www.powergenitalia.com"

A storage facility opened recently near me. The sign outside reads "You Fill, You Lock, You Keep Key".

I'm trying to work out if the absence of any articles in that sentence - definite or otherwise - is due to an ironic lack of space (on the sign) or if the manager there really is Tarzan....

Happy Tree Friends - in terms of levels of violence, this makes South Park look restrained. Follow the adventures of a group of cute, cuddly but ultimately psychotic furry folk.

BBC - Oxford Stage - I know I normally use this Blog to post web sites that I think you might enjoy. However, I think I'm allowed to be a bit self indulgent just this once. This is a review on the BBC website of a theatre production in Oxford last Saturday. The chap described as a 'lyrical tenor' is my little brother....

Optical Illusions - I've never been able to do that whole Magic Eye thing but these ones even work for me. This is probably the biggest collection I've seen but the best ones are at the top of the page. Excellent for messing with your mind.

London Underground Guide - information and fun on the world's oldest subway system with Going Underground - probably the definitive list of driver announcements obn the Tube (sample = after having to make several "Please stand clear of the doors" announcements before his train could start moving, one driver tried a new tactic "This is a customer announcement, please note that the big slidy things are the doors, the big slidy things are the doors". )
