C'mon Michael Moore - update your
blog!!!
I actually have my own Michael Moore story - sit back, get comfortable 'cos I'm gonna tell it now, no matter what.
A few years ago, just as Phantom Menace was released in the US, I happened to be visiting friends in NYC. This was a fortunate coincidence (honest!). Since we all love Science Fiction, we decided to go see the film in a nice Manhatten theatre.
However, one member of our group is himself an actor and is quite well-known in Sci-Fi fandom (especially his voice). Therefore he was told to keep quiet while we were getting the tickets as otherwise there was a good chance he'd have to deal with fans and we would be delayed getting to our seats.
He dutifully showed up outside the theatre, his mouth virtually ziplocked shut, only to find that Michael Moore was also in the line for tickets and was being mobbed for autographs - by the very people who'd asked my friend to keep quiet so we'd have no delays getting in to see the film.
