American homeland security - I read this article over the weekend. Forget all the hypothetical scenarios that liberals paint regarding the erosion of civil liberties in the US. This really happened. I'm not a journalist but I've abandonned any plans to visit the US for the foreseeable future. If this is how they treat writers, heaven knows how they treat regular folk with no public voice.
Thinking of the quote from Samuel Johnson, I'm starting to think that the "Patriot" Act should be more accurately renamed as "Last Refuge of a Scoundrel" Act.
